Thames Sailing Barge Charter
A TradBoat

Thames Barges and Medway Sailing Barges which average
around 90 feet over-all ,have great advantages where largish parties are
concerned, and are ideal for corporate hospitality. Several charter barges take part in the famous series of
Barge Matches (see
our Barge Matches pages for dates). Day
sailing is regularly available.
Barges
may be moored for the day at major events (London Marathon, and so on), where
they provide
unusual viewing platforms or interesting venues for conferences. A number of
charter barges are listed here, and there is more about them at the foot of
the page

About Thames Sailing Barges
In
most sailing barges the former cargo spaces have been converted to comfortable
"smart" dining areas with first rate catering facilities. Most barges
retain their full spritsail sailing rig (and do indeed sail!) All have that original
"feel". All come with Skipper and crew of course. When
very large parties are planned then several barges may work together.

Barges, turn to our Model Making Pages.
